Dallas is a beautiful place to live. However, the area is prone to dust storms. If you are seeking tips to keep your vehicle dust free in Dallas, continue on.

Exterior

In order to protect the exterior of your car from dust, use paintwork sealants like wax or ceramic. These sealants can reduce the amount of dust and dirt that builds up on your vehicle. You also want to park your car in a sheltered area, if possible.

A garage is the most ideal parking spot, but any sheltered area can reduce the amount of dust that collects on your car. Lastly, be sure to wash your car on a regular basis. The more you clean your car, the easier it will be to keep dust from collecting.

Interior

If you want to avoid getting dust in your vehicle, the most effective way to do so is by keeping your windows shut. You also want to be sure your door seals are in good condition so they don’t let in any stray dust. Using the air-recirculator rather than bringing in air from outside when running your AC can help you control dust levels. Don’t forget to change your filters on a routine basis to keep the air in your car fresh and clean.

Whether you’re looking for a new car or you want to keep your current car dust free, work with Don Herring Dallas Mitsubishi. We have an extensive selection of vehicles and a highly professional service team that can assist you with all of your needs.

2023 Eclipse Cross

Whether you drive a car, truck, or SUV, your vehicle’s tires are essential to safe operation and effectiveness. Here are two signs of bad tires you’ll want to watch out for.

  1. Worn-Out Tread

Driving on tires with worn-out treads is dangerous because worn-out tires can affect your vehicle’s ability to come to a stop, especially on wet roads. Your car is more likely to hydroplane on wet roads and won’t gain traction on icy roads. Worn-out tires are also easier to puncture, which can lead to blowouts if you happen to get a nail or other sharp object stuck in your tires.

If your vehicle has newer tires, they probably have tread-wear indicator bars that signal when the tread is getting too low. You can also purchase a tread-wear gauge from any auto parts store or try the quarter test.

  1. Shaking or Vibrating

Unless you’re driving down an old dirt road or a road that’s under construction, your vehicle shouldn’t constantly shake or vibrate. If it does, this could be a sign that your tires aren’t wearing evenly or you have a wheel that’s bent, misaligned, or unbalanced. Uneven tread wear can cause blowouts, and it can make your car harder to steer. Plus, your tires won’t have full contact with the road, minimizing grip and traction. Taking your car in for a tire rotation should solve the issue. However, if you still experience vibrating, you might need brand-new tires.

Hopefully, you find these tips to be helpful. Remember, if you take care of your tires, they’ll take care of you.

Don Herring Dallas Steak

Are you in the mood for a juicy steak? Here are some Dallas steakhouses where you can enjoy a steak dinner you’ll never forget.

Chamberlain’s Steakhouse

After its opening in 1993, Chamberlain’s Steakhouse was named one of the nation’s top new restaurants by Bon Appetit magazine. At this prestigious restaurant, which still ranks as one of the top steakhouses in the country, you and your dining party will enjoy sharing plates of truffle deviled eggs, Texas Wagyu beef pot stickers, and jumbo lump crab cakes.

Chamberlain’s steak selection includes a 40-day aged filet mignon, a 12-ounce local Wagyu NY strip, and a 40-day aged prime ribeye, each served with your choice of garlic mashed potatoes or parmesan truffle grits. For dessert, there’s creme brulee, white chocolate butterscotch bread pudding, and coconut cream pie.

Georgie by Curtis Stone

While Georgie is relatively new to the Dallas dining scene, it’s already making its mark, thanks to Chef Curtis Stone’s butcher-shop experience and commitment to quality ingredients. Start your meal with housemade brioche topped with caviar, seared foie gras, or beef tartare. Recommended butcher cuts include the grass-fed 8-ounce filet from Australia, the grilled bone-in short rib topped with green peppercorn and gremolata, and the 14-ounce boneless ribeye. Be sure to add a side of grilled maitake mushrooms, broccolini, or creamed endive. A slice of speculoos cheesecake, chocolate tart, or panna cotta will add a sweet ending to your evening.

These are just two of the many excellent steakhouses in Dallas, Texas. No matter which one you visit, you’re sure to enjoy a delicious meal.
