Turner Falls

Turner Falls, Oklahoma, is only about two hours from Dallas. It is the tallest waterfall in Oklahoma, standing 77 feet high. The falls are the main attraction in the area, but there are lots of other activities to enjoy while you are there. You can hike near the falls, take a swim in the refreshing natural pools, and explore the nearby caves.

Dripping Springs

Dripping Springs is a small Texas town that sits just outside of Austin. Its most popular attraction is Hamilton Pool, a natural swimming hole with clear water surrounded by cliffs. Once you’ve enjoyed a dip in the refreshing water, make sure to visit the area wineries or check out a distillery. It will take you about three and a half hours to get here from Dallas, so you might want to make a weekend out of it.

Davey Crocket National Forest

Davey Crocket National Forest is about three hours from Dallas. This national forest covers over 160,000 acres and features forest, recreation areas, and lakes to explore and enjoy. Make sure to check out the hiking trails or horse trails if you enjoy riding.

Take a road trip from Dallas to one of these nearby destinations and enjoy the fresh spring air.
