The Don Herring Story - A family owned business:
Don
Herring began in 1971 as a salesman in Ft. Worth Texas. Through hard
work and determination, he saved enough to buy his first car dealership
before he was thirty years old and now owns the largest Mitsubishi
dealer group in the Metroplex.
Today he owns Don Herring Mitsubishi in Oak Cliff, Don Herring Mitsubishi North in Plano and Don Herring Mitsubishi Irving. All stores have had many successes over the years. In 2001 the location in Oak Cliff was the #1 selling Mitsubishi Dealership in the nation! All three stores have achieved Diamond Chapter of Excellence Awards from Mitsubishi for a combined 11 years.
Diamond Chapter of Excellence is the highest achievement that a dealer
can receive from Mitsubishi and is based on customer service and
satisfaction.
Don Herring Mitsubishi has the third largest Parts department in the country and one of the top five service departments in the country, with six Master Technicians. We are consistently in the top 25 in sales in the country, and one of the nations four top Sales people in sales presentation! Don Herring Mitsubishi is proud to have 4 out of the 5 Elite certified Salespersons in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area.
Don Herring Mitsubishi is one of the few family owned and operated automobile dealerships in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. We have been in DFW for 29 years and have expanded with a recently remodeled location in Irving. We are most proud of the people who make Don Herring run.
Don
Herring Jr. joined the Don Herring Mitsubishi team in 1991, and is now
the General Manager of the Irving Location. Sherri Herring came on
board in 1999 and is now VP of Marketing. Cary Wilson is a sales
associate that also came on board in 1991 along with Johnny Mack just a
few years later in 1993. Because we are family owned and operated, we are able to maintain a close relationship with our employees and our customers.
There are no corporate mandates, no stockholders and no board of
directors determining our policy. We are fortunate to have many
individuals that have been with Don Herring Mitsubishi for as many
years. Leo Young has been the controller since 1977.
Gary Evans has been a parts manager since 1983. Phil Butler is the used
car inventory specialist since 1986. Roger Kell, one of the Mitsubishi
Technicians, has been with Don Herring since 1988. Keven Rogers is the
service advisor, along with David Weatherford the Parts Director, Larry
Ashe the Service Advisor, and Sarah Kolter the Office Manager. All have
been with Don Herring Mitsubishi since 1996.
Our motto is “We Make It Easy”,
and that is truly what we try to do. We strive to make the customer's
car buying experience a smooth one with low pressure sales and high
customer satisfaction.
